     Samantha Boshnack, an alumnus of Franklin Central School, brought her jazz band, “Reptet”, to Franklin.
     Reptet gave a workshop for the jazz band and put on a show for their students, in grades 3 through 12, October 4.

 

     Samantha graduated from Franklin in 1999.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in music from Bard College where she studied jazz trumpet and composition.  She moved to Seattle in 2003 and joined the Monktail Collective. Today her career consists of teaching private lessons and gigging around the Northwest.  Her jazz group has just cut their first CD entitled “Do This!” and will be touring this fall.  The students were very lucky that one of Reptet’s touring stops was Franklin!
